Backstage Pass is a community event for organisers - come to exchange lessons learned in managing events and connect with people who make events possible.
We're kickstarting 2014 with the third session, on the topic: "Event Publicity: Getting ahead in 2014", featuring Alex Linton, Founder and Chief Business Development of City Nomads and Mylinh Cheung, Founder and Managing Director of Epic PR.

Alex Linton, Founder and Chief Business Development of City Nomads
Alex first settled in Singapore 5 years ago to train as a chef but after a stint in events and marketing, City Nomads was conceived! Today, it entrenches itself as the leading independent guide to what's on in Singapore. With a dedicated events listing in the genres of food & drink, music, the arts, style and more on City Nomads, Alex brings you exclusive insight into how online media such as his would curate events to feature. We'll also hear his thoughts on what's trending in events for 2014. Brace yourselves folks, it'll be an epic one.
Mylinh Cheung, Founder and Managing Director of Epic PR
Mylinh entered the PR industry working for the Australian government sector and has since represented brands in Hong Kong and Singapore. Backed with more than a decade of PR experience, accolades, and a long list of globally esteemed brand clients including Apple, LVMH, Hermes, Miele, Disney Television and more, Mylinh's got a treasure trove of PR know-how that she'd love to share! She'll be giving us the inside scoop on who to approach in the media and how to get journalists interested in generating buzz for events we organise.

- Why don't you make the event free?
We believe in delivering great value and price tickets at a reasonable $18. We serve dinner. That said, the ticket is not meant to be a barrier - if you're a student or a member of the community who cannot afford that price point, please contact us.
- Vegetarian or halal food?
Yes! Please let us know in advance and we'll make sure we cater to your requirement.
- I'm not an "event organiser"
What we're doing is building a supportive community for events of all kinds to blossom in Singapore. We bring you together in-person to learn, to befriend and support each other and to have fun. So yes, regardless of why you're interested, you're welcome to join us!
